Lemonade stand to aid pediatric cancer research

Berk Enterprises will present its second annual Lemonade Day, a national fundraising initiative organized by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to support the fight against childhood cancer.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 12, the lemonade stand will operate outside Berk’s corporate headquarters at 1554 Thomas Road SE, Warren. The community is invited to attend.

In addition to fresh-squeezed, fair-style lemonade, guests can enjoy music, face painting, cornhole, raffle baskets and more. The lemonade will be served in a special co-branded cup in collaboration with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The suggested donation is $3 per lemonade, with all proceeds directly supporting the foundation.

Adding to the experience, Molnar’s Concessions will also be on site serving food.

Menards to serve as dropoff site for food donations

Menards home improvement store, 2015 Walmart Drive, Bazetta, will be accepting food pantry donations during June and July. There is a large collection box near the exit doors to place donations.
