A passenger in that vehicle, Tyreese Douglas, is listed as a suspect in a police report from a shooting Tuesday evening at Parkman Road and Northfield Avenue.

WARREN TOWNSHIP — Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Warren Post are investigating a fatal, two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 422 westbound and state Route 5 around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by Dominique Dorsey, 37, of Leavittsburg, was traveling northwest on U.S. 422 in an attempt to flee from officers with the Warren Police Department.

At that time, Sandra Swann, 66, of Cortland, was stopped at a stop sign, and had begun to enter the intersection from the state Route 5 off ramp when her vehicle was struck by Dorsey’s vehicle. Swann was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dorsey and a passenger in his vehicle, Tyreese Douglas, 17, sustained serious injuries and were both transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment. Douglas was named as a suspect in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in Warren, according to a police report.

Both lanes of the ramp between the bypass and Route 422 were closed in both directions for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.

Meanwhile, the Warren Police Department arrested a man and woman following a shooting Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Parkman Road and Northfield Avenue.

Officers responded to calls of shots being fired in that area. A section of Parkman Road was blocked off by police who responded to the call just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Reports state that as officers arrived at the scene, they were advised of a 21-year old gunshot victim at St. Joseph Warren Hospital with a traumatic injury. Reports state the victim lives on the nearby Linda Drive NW.

Arraigned in Warren Municipal Court on Wednesday were Jordan Coleman, 20, of Warren, and Lily I. Ansel, 18, of Niles, who are both charged with one count each of second-degree felonious assault. Both entered not guilty pleas before Judge Natasha Natale and are being held at the Trumbull County jail without bond. They are scheduled for another court hearing June 24, court records show.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to Detective Abigail Krafcik at 330-841-2712 or the CID Anonymous Tip Line at 330-841-2914.
