CORTLAND — The Trumbull County Health District advisory council met this spring for election of members to the council.

James Lapolla was elected as chairperson to the advisory council. Gregory Dubos was selected to fill a vacancy on the board.

Other current board members are Robert Biery, Jr., John C. Messersmith, Harold O. Firster, Jack Simon, Kathy Salapata and Louis Adovasio. Rebecca Whitman of Hartford was elected secretary/treasurer.

The board appointed Gordon Byrne of Girard to the Girard city board of health.

The board also approved health district licensing council representatives, who included Christine Bell for the public swimming pool and spa program and Doug Shaulis to the parks and camps programs.
