State board OKs $730K for YSU
The Ohio Controlling Board agreed to provide $730,186 in state funding to Youngstown State University for two projects.
YSU will get $310,116 through the Ohio Department of Higher Education for specialized equipment for workforce training. YSU will use the money to purchase virtual welding equipment to support students pursuing an associate degree in welding.
YSU will also receive $420,070 for window and door replacements at the university through a higher education improvement fund.
