Eleven shows, including many past favorites, will play the Warren Community Amphitheatre this summer as part of the River Rock at the Amp concert series.

Sunrise Entertainment announced the full lineup today, which starts the first Saturday after Memorial Day and runs through Labor Day weekend.

The season opens May 30 with the one show that was already announced, the Jimmy Buffett tribute act Fins to the Left, joined by members of Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band.

Sunrise Entertainment President Ken Haidaris said they booked the show earlier than usual so it wouldn’t conflict with any of the touring the band might do later in the summer. Backup singers Tina Gullickson and Nadirah Shakoor already are committed to play the Warren date.

“We know there’s going to be more, we just don’t know who wants to travel,” Haidaris said. “It’s just a fun show. Now that Jimmy Buffett’s gone, you’re not going to hear those songs (with him) again. Everybody wears silly outfits and they have fun, and there’s not a whole lot of fun in the world right now.”

As in the past, the lineup leans heavily on classic rock acts that dominated in the 1970s and ’80s, but Haidaris is bringing back a couple of shows that will have a younger appeal. The Boy Band Review, performing June 13, performs the music of such acts as *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and Jonas Brothers, and this time the Miss Americanas, a local Taylor Swift tribute act, will open for them.

“That was a home run. They were incredible,” Haidaris said. “I love when I’m standing on stage in the back, and you can see people enjoying themselves, and that was one of those shows.”

Another act that drew a younger audience was the Morgan Wallen tribute, 7 Summers, which returns Aug. 1.

Haidaris said it’s easy to tell when an act attracts a new audience. There are more questions from customers at Sunrise Inn, the restaurant Haidaris co-owns, and more questions at the amphitheater than normal about where the bathrooms are or about the different food vendors available.

Last season, popular Michael Jackson tribute act Who’s Bad also included a Prince tribute. This summer Who’s Bad will be paired with Earth to Mars, a Bruno Mars tribute making its first appearance.

The season concludes with Night Fever on Sept. 5. Sunrise Entertaintainment has booked Bee Gees’ tribute acts before, but Night Fever is making its River Rock debut.

Returning favorites include Queen Nation (Queen tribute) on July 25, E5C4P3 (Journey tribute) on Aug. 15 and Wish You Were Here on Aug. 29.

Wish started playing at the outdoor Warren venue when promoter Walt English started booking tribute acts there shortly after it opened, and they’ve been a summer staple ever since.

“Their light show and their lasers and everything are just great,” Haidaris said. “Those guys have really stepped up their game. They put a lot of money into their act. A lot of acts, I don’t want to say they don’t get better, but they kind of stagnate a little bit. Eroc (Eric Sosinski, who leads Wish You Were Here) just keeps stepping up their game. They’re pros, and I like working with them.”

All shows take place at the Warren Community Amphitheatre, 321 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren. Gates open at 5 p.m., with the first band starting at 5:30 p.m. and the headliners usually starting at 8:30 p.m.
