WHAT: Board of education meeting Monday

PRESENT: Betsy Dunn, Megan Gibbs, Terry Kelly, Steve Gilanyi and LeeAnn Westenfelder

The board:

• Approved adjusting the 2025-26 school calendar by moving graduation to 2 p.m. May 24 in the school complex gymnasium. For the 2026-27 calendar, graduation was moved to 2 p.m. May 23, 2027.

• Approved an agreement with the Nutrition Group for one year effective July 1 at $4,108. The district has had an agreement with the company since 2025.

• Approved an agreement with Trumbull County Educational Service Center for various services to the district at $542,803.

• Removed from the agenda until a future meeting a memorandum of understanding with the Southington Education Association regarding golf offered at middle school and music for band and choir classes. Officials said the union needs to address the items before the board acts on them.
