Cortland police assist FBI with search warrant execution

The Cortland Police Department, with the assistance of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force, executed a search warrant Thursday morning at a home in the 400 block of Charles Street.

Police Chief David Morris said no additional information on the matter will be released at this time, but said there is no threat to public safety.

Morris said the investigation is ongoing.
