Gunfire strikes Warren home
WARREN — Police are investigating after someone fired multiple shots from a firearm that struck a home on the southwest side of Warren late Wednesday evening.
According to a Warren police report, officers were dispatched about 9:29 p.m. to the area of Highland Avenue SW and Hoyt Street SW after reports of shots being fired.
Police arrived to find evidence of gunfire including four shell casings in the intersection and a rifle projectile that had struck the exterior wall of a residence in the 800 block of Highland Avenue SW.
No injuries were reported in the incident. The casings and projectile were recovered by officers.
The case is being investigated as improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or school.
No arrests have been announced and the suspect was listed as “unknown.”
