Comments sought on bridge replacement in Kinsman
KINSMAN — The Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking comments on the proposed replacement of a township bridge with associated minor road work.
A bridge spanning a stream on state Route 5 will be taken down and replaced. The bridge is situated between Burnett East Road and state Route 7.
Although it is adjacent to the Shenango Wildlife Area, no impacts to that property are anticipated as part of the project. However, minor stream and wetland impacts are expected.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the fall and end in late 2027. Traffic on state Route 5 will be detoured for up to 21 days during construction.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental and economic impacts of this proposed action. Environmental impacts include those associated with historical archeological or architectural resources, ecological resources, hazardous materials and / or any general concerns regarding the project.
No environmental resources are expected to be impacted from project construction.
Comments concerning the project may be submitted to Robert Lang at Robert.Lang@dot.ohio.gov, by phone at 330-786-4975 or mailed to ODOT District 4 (Attn: Robert Lang), 2088 S. Arlington Road, Akron, OH 44306.
