WARREN — Warren police are investigating an apparent shooting today off Elm Road, not far from Warren G. Harding High School.

Police were dispatched early Monday afternoon to Paige Avenue NE between Elm Road and Fairfield Street for a report of shots being fired at that location.

Police were on the scene and had taped off the area at the intersection of Paige and Elm to prevent traffic from entering the scene.

A male was reportedly shot and taken to a hospital, but there is currently no word on his condition.

A vehicle parked at a business nearby had its windows shot out.

There were also 17 evidence markers in the middle of the street on Paige Avenue as three police officers checked the area.
