WHAT: Board of Education organizational and regular meeting Jan. 5

PRESENT: Jeff Pegg, Brianne Perry, Julie Altawil, Abigail Reynolds and Kelly Vennitti

The board:

• Named Pegg as board president and Perry as vice president.

• Named Perry as legislative liaison to the Ohio School Boards Association.

• Accepted a $180 donation from Paul and Anna Bakich and a$300 donation from David Miller to the PAW Pantry.

• Approved Jonetta Rounds as a bus aide substitute.

• Approved Howland High School’s 2026-27 academic catalog.

• Approved a memorandum of understanding between the district and Kent State University for College Credit-Plus for the 2026-27 school year.
