WHAT: Township trustee November and December meetings
PRESENT: Jamin Banning, Greg Leonhard and Bruce Bancroft
Trustees:
• Received information from Mike Andrasik, project manager with the Ohio Department of Transportation, that plans are to replace two structures on routes 5 and 7 with detour routes to be posted.
• Heard from Leonhard, who had a discussion with the property owner at 8280 State St. after loud exhaust noises were heard after 10 p.m. some nights, which is in violation of the township’s noise ordinance. He said there are several vehicles without plates on the property. The resident agreed to not make loud noises after 10 p.m. and to clean up the property per the zoning department.
• Were informed the fire department was awarded a $13,074 Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation grant for three sets of turnout gear.
• Announced Christmas parade and Santa on the Square at 5 p.m. Sunday at the center square.
• Heard from fire Chief Tyler Elser, who reported all hydrants in the township have signs installed noting it is illegal to park in front of a hydrant. Vehicles in violation will be towed.
• Announced the new phone number for the senior center is 330-355-2029.
• Announced a recent Shop with a Cop fundraiser raised $4,292 to purchase gifts for local children for the holidays.
