NEWTON FALLS — Village council is accepting applications for the vacant Ward 3 seat.

Council is authorized to fill said vacancy within 60 days by a majority vote of the remaining council members. The person chosen will serve until someone is elected Nov. 3, 2026.

Qualifications for council are:

• Must have been a resident of Ward 3 of Newton Falls for at least one year preceding the election (or appointment).

• Must continue to reside in Ward 3 and be a qualified elector thereof throughout the entire term of office.

• Must not be directly or indirectly interested in the profits or emoluments of any contract, work, or service with the village.

The deadline for applications is 3 p.m. Nov. 28. No late applications will be accepted.
