LORDSTOWN -- Village council at a special meeting Monday approved the purchase of land at 8933 state Route 45 from Lyle and Shelley Holton for $18,000.
Mayor Jackie Woodward said the land will be used for the location of a planned water booster station.
She said American Rescue Plan funds will cover the cost and need to be used by the end of the year.
