WHAT: Trustees meeting Monday
PRESENT: Richard Dascenzo, Michael Haddle and Phil Pegg
Trustees:
• Approved making a $65,920 payment to OTARMA for the renewal of the township’s insurance policy.
• Accepted the resignation of Jacob Conde as assistant fiscal officer. Fiscal Officer Jason Miner said that Conde was returning to college for the semester and that he wouldn’t be leaving otherwise.
• Approved moving $130,000 from the township’s general checking account to its money market account. Miner explained that the township received $230,000 in real estate advances since the last regular meeting, so he “saw no issue” as to why they couldn’t put more money in the money market account.
• Approved a $36,137 payment to Roderick, Linton and Belfance LLP. Miner said he spoke with Alfred Schrader, an attorney with the firm, who was “thankful” for their small payments, but Miner added that the township was in a position where they could close out the debt completely.
• Approved $5,000 in additional appropriations to the township’s ARPA fund. Miner said the money was received from the Trumbull County commissioners and they just had to appropriate it to follow the law.
