Insight Hospital reports 2 stolen TVs
WARREN — Warren police are investigating yet another break-in at Insight Hospital after a report of the theft of two 42-inch LG flat-screen TVs on Tuesday.
According to a Warren police report, police were dispatched at 6:17 p.m. after an employee reported a disturbance, suspecting unauthorized activity inside the building.
The employee, who left work around 5:25 p.m., noticed a colleague’s vehicle in the parking lot and found it suspicious, as no staff were expected on-site.
After alerting their supervisor, it was confirmed that the colleague and her boyfriend had returned, claiming to retrieve free sandwiches from the break room.
A security guard reported seeing a man, who claimed to work there, on the vacant second floor.
The man was spotted in the stairwell, left in a red vehicle, and was later linked to the theft after the guard noticed two TVs, valued at $800, missing from the second-floor weight room.
Police searched all three floors but could not locate the stolen TVs.
No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
This theft follows other recent break-ins, including the theft of 1,200 OxyContin pills from Insight and $400 in hand tools from Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital between Aug. 15 and 18, as well as vandalism at Insight on Aug. 20 involving broken windows and discharged fire extinguishers.
