Two men identified as victims in Warren shootings

WARREN -- Police and a family member have identified two men killed in separate shooting incidents in Warren only days apart as police investigate the circumstances of their deaths.

According to a Warren police report, on May 16, 22-year-old Jody Hall was fatally shot in the Fairview Gardens area near the 2100 block of Draper Street SE.

The report states officers responded around 2:30 a.m. after multiple 911 calls reported gunshots from residences on Draper Street and Benton Street SE.

Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle overturned in a parking lot next to the Fairview Garden Office on Benton Street SE.

Officers observed an individual inside the vehicle but could not reach the person.

Warren Fire Department and EMT Ambulance Service personnel were called to extricate the occupant, later identified as Hall, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

During a search of the area, an officer recovered three shell casings in front of a Duke Street SE residence.

A family identified Norman Miller, 38, as the man found shot and killed inside a vehicle near a gas station on Southern Boulevard around 3 a.m. Monday.

Officers discovered Miller deceased at the scene, but no further details about the incident have been released. The investigation is ongoing, with no suspects identified at this time.
