WHAT: Board of Education meeting Thursday.
PRESENT: Terry Kelly, Betsy Dunn, Cory Freeman, Megan Gibbs and Steve Gilanyi.
The board:
• Received donations for the new Angel Fund for the cafeteria fund. The Chalker National Honor Society is hosting holiday fundraisers for the Ronald McDonald House.
• Approved participating in the Ohio School Board Association legal assistance fund at $250.
• Updated school policies with the addition of policies from the state that address artificial intelligence, which is a set of technologies that enable computers to perform a variety of advanced functions and cybersecurity. That involves protecting an organization and its employees and assets against cyber threats.
• Set the organizational meeting for 6 p.m. Jan. 8.
