WHAT: Township trustees meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Rebecca Whitman, Phil Wilhelm and Mike Wilson

Trustees:

• Have scheduled a special meeting 6 p.m. Dec. 17 at the township building to interview applicants for the trustee seat to be vacated when Wilson leaves at the end of month to become the new county sheriff. Whitman said there are eight people who applied for the position who will be interviewed at the public meeting. The person selected will serve all of 2025, but if they want to continue, they will need to run in the general election next November.

• Approved using the remaining $1,400 in American Rescue Plan funds for lettering work on township vehicles and cold weather gear for employees. Whitman said ARP funds approved by the county commissioners will be used for restrooms at the pavilion next spring.

• Set a year-end meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 26.
