WHAT: Village council meeting Wednesday.
PRESENT: Sean Schmidt, Kerry Reckard, John Metzinger, Kyle Joynes, Chad Jones, Don Smith and Mayor Ray Lewis.
Council:
• Approved the appointments of Trevor Willoughby and Riche Rider as lieutenants in the fire department.
• Approved the appointment of Ron Pratt as a full-time police officer.
• Approved the reappointment of Austin Bucan as a part-time officer.
• Announced Oktober-fest is 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Oct. 12 at Woodland Park. Planned are a craft show, children's activities and food vendors.
• Approved PFM Financial Services to be consultants and work with the village on a water and sewer rate study.
• Set trick or treat for 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.
