WHAT: Township trustees meeting Sept. 16.

PRESENT: Roger Peterson, Jason Gwinn and Richard Viney.

Trustees:

•   Heard from Peterson that the fire hall expansion project has received a $345,000 One Time Strategic Community Investment grant. Construction drawings for the project are being finalized and once reviewed by legal counsel will go out for bid.

•  Heard from Peterson the historic town hall needs greater accessibility for the elderly and disabled people. He said the Bloomfield Historical Society is offering to do a 50% match for costs to bring the building up to Americans with Disabilities Act standards and accessibility. Trustees are reviewing various options.

•   Approved Garrett Cox to join the volunteer firefighters.

•   Announced the township has been approved for $170,000 from the Trumbull County commissioners for purchase of a new ambulance.
