HOWLAND -- Starting Thursday, the ramp from state Route 46 south to state Route 82 east will be closed through late spring 2025 as part of the ongoing diverging diamond project by the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The detour will be Route 82 west to Elm Road to Route 82 east.
As part of the same project, the ramp from Route 82 eastbound to Route 46 northbound is closed through late spring 2025. The detour is Route 82 east to state Route 193 to Route 82 west to Route 46.
The following restrictions and closures are in place through November to accommodate the project:
• State Route 46 between Market Street and U.S. Route 422 has various lane restrictions.
• State Route 82 between Elm Road and Howland Wilson Road has various lane restrictions.
• The ramp from East Market Street to Route 82 is closed through November. The detour is East Market Street to Route 46 to Route 82.
In addition to the Howland project closures, the following projects will have lane restrictions:
• State Route 46 between state Routes 87 and 88 in Green Township for pavement repairs and microsurfacing.
• State Route 88 from Route 46 to Mosquito Lake in Mecca for pavement repairs and microsurfacing.
• Route 46 between Robbins Avenue and Niles Vienna Road in Niles and state Route 169 between Route 46 to just west of U.S. Route 422 in Niles for road resurfacing.
• State Route 534 between Routes 87 and Route 88 in Farmington and Mesopotamia townships for resurfacing.
