WARREN — The Trumbull County grand jury handed up indictments Wednesday for 36 cases with three secret indictments. Among those indicted includes Dylan C. Vrancich, 45, Bell Avenue, Hubbard, for charges related to aggravated vehicular homicide and two counts of OVI. Vrancich will now appear in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for an arraignment but no date has been set, according to court records.

The defendant previously pleaded not guilty when appearing before Judge Jeffrey D. Adler imposed a $25,000 bond out of Girard Municipal Court. Police responded to the crash just after midnight on Colonial Drive near Biscayne Avenue in Liberty Township.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, on May 17, a vehicle was traveling west on Colonial Drive when it failed to navigate a curve, lost control, hit a utility pole and then caught on fire.

The victim was identified as 41-year-old Nicholas Thompson, of Youngstown. The patrol said unsafe speed and alcohol consumption were factors that contributed to the crash.

Vranchich was booked into the Trumbull County jail after he was treated for injuries at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

A Warren man’s indictment shows investigators have collected a number of images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.

The videos accompany 31 charges related to felony child sex charges, 22 of which are second-degree counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and second-degree illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance.

Tobias Schmucker, 21, of Pacific Place NW, will be arraigned in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court before Judge Cynthia Westcott Rice Aug. 7 at 1:30 p.m.

Warren police arrested Schmucker on June 13.

He pleaded not guilty at an arraignment in Warren Municipal Court where Judge Thomas Gysegem set bond at $150,000, court records show.
