CHAMPION — Township trustees approved a new, three-year contract Monday with six full-time fire department personnel.

Trustee Chairman Rex Fee said the agreement includes a 90 cents per hour increase the first year, 70 cents the second year and 65 cents the third year.

Fee said the six employees also will pay $20 per paycheck toward their health care.

The contract is retroactive to Friday and expires in May 2027.
