WHAT: Trustees meeting Tuesday

Trustees:

• Announced they are seeking American Rescue Plan funds from the county commissioners for an emergency generator at the township administration building and for an ambulance. Colletta said the township building could be used for residents who lose power in their homes for days and need to go somewhere for heat, air conditioning, oxygen or cellphone charging. He said there have been talks with Hubbard school officials on the swimming pool showers for people to get a shower if there is no water.

• Tabled for a future meeting acting on a traffic study on Anthony Circle and Pound Road.

• Will have “No Thru Traffic” signs posted on Stiver Street, Price Road and Van Ness Road because of trucks coming through and going over residential lawns.

• Will have “No Jake Brake” signs posted on Bellwick Road between state Route 304 and Mount Everett Road to warn trucks to not make loud noise.

• Heard from Colletta the township can use its own ARP funds for restroom renovation at the police department, but not county ARP funds.

• Reported the Eagle Joint Fire District approved six new paramedics / firefighters who will be sworn in at 6 p.m. June 5 at the fire station.

• Approved Curtis Crump Inc. at $18,000 for a concrete pad for the recycling bins to avoid having mud in the location. A grant from the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District will cover costs.

• Will attend a joint meeting with Hubbard city officials at 7 p.m. Monday on cemetery millage. Tedrow said officials are looking at funding options for Harding Park road. The park’s annual budget is $150,000.

• Announced an electronics collection 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 8 at the Hubbard city administration building parking lot.

• Heard from police Sgt. Ron Reed that residents shooting targets on their property must have a backstop to prevent shooting across a neighbor’s property as required by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
