YesFest! returned for the sixth year to Champion High School on Thursday. The goal of the program is to teach the district students how to get involved in positive activities, volunteer to make a difference in the community and learn how to adopt healthy habits. The event featured interactive information tables from community organizations and nonprofits, as well as school groups. Guest speaker was Jon Pritikin. Champion High School student Emily Miranda, 15, gingerly walks the line wearing a set of impaired goggles at the Champion High School SMASH (Students Making a Safe Highway) booth during the annual YesFest! She said the activity "was hard."
