WHAT: Trumbull County MetroParks board meeting Thursday
PRESENT: Randy Fabrizio, Nicolette Darkangelo, Kurt Sauer and John Brown
ABSENT: Steve Maas
The board:
• Accepted $136,381 from the county commissioners for the parks in 2024.
• Approved Thomas Holbrook and Randy Sampson as independent contractors at $15 per hour up to $9,000 each from April 1 through March 31, 2025.
• Approved a contract with Johnny on the Spot LLC for the portable restroom contract at $3,600. Officials said the portable restrooms will be placed at the parks and near the bike trail.
• Accepted a list of engineering firms to be able to contract with for projects under $50,000.
• Heard from Zachary Svette, executive director, the park board has agreed to wait to place a park levy on the ballot.
• Approved Svette to review an easement for the Meadowbrook sewer project in Leavittsburg on the east side of North Leavitt Road.
