WARREN -- After being rescheduled two weeks ago, a 72-year-old Weathersfield man is set to be sentenced this morning on child porn charges.
A wheelchair bound Harold Bennett will appear in the courtroom of Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Andrew D. Logan to face sentencing on seven counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.
Bennett was originally indicted by a Trumbull County grand jury on 19 child porn charges. Several counts were nullified by the state for the plea agreement.
Police arrested Bennett after a tip was made to the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The indictment states he possessed sexually explicit images of children who were between the ages of three months and 9 years being forced to commit sex acts.
The indictment states Bennett viewed the images in or around the timeframe of January 2019 and June 2023.
