WHAT: Trustees meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: William Coletta, Jason Tedrow and Rick Hernandez

Trustees:

•   Heard from Hernandez, who has been in contact with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources regarding injection wells.

•   Heard from Tedrow that the Ohio Department of Transportation is putting "No engine brake" signs on U.S. 62.

•   Informed residents the police are dealing with a recent rash of burglaries and reminding people to keep car doors locked and garage doors closed.

•   Will meet in an open forum with police officers to discuss concerns and provide expectations and direction of the police department for the future.

•   Reported the Maplewood sewer project planning portion is not completed. Officials contacted the Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer. Once the planning is finished, an open meeting will take place with residents. This is an Environmental Protection Agency-mandated project.

•   Received a $6,000 bid for a 2015 Ford Explorer and will seek bids for a 2013 Ford Explorer with the reserve lowered to $1,500.

•   Announced that township zoning is focusing on junk cars and debris.

•   Approved appointments to the zoning commission board: Monica Baker (chairwoman), Meg Evans (vice chairwoman), Peggy Fluent, Charles Cook, Ray Mc Elroy, Margie Johnson and Justin Milula.

•  Approved to the board of zoning appeals: Paul Kilar (chairman), Albert Alexander (vice chairman), Ed Wittenauer, Kim Learn and Jim Phibbs. Two alternates are being sought.
