WHAT: Board of Education meeting Wednesday
PRESENT: Kristina Stephens, Brooke Vondrasek, Scott Chapman, Jared Bilas and Don Mickel
The board:
• Approved early dismissal on April 8 so students can be at home to observe the solar eclipse. Superintendent Christopher Dray said the Trumbull County Emergency Management Agency recommends students not be in school because of potential communication issues. The Bristol Library is providing special glasses for the students.
• Hired Jen Armour as special education supervisor on a two-year contract for 210 days at $72,500 per year. Dray said previously the special education services were provided by the Trumbull County Educational Service Center.
• Hired Ami Plott as a part-time payroll clerk / assistant to the treasurer.
• Approved selling a nonessential district bus at $8,000.
