WARREN -- The Harriet Taylor Upton Association has received $58,829 in American Rescue Plan funds to fix the aging roof and furnaces at the historic Harriet Taylor Upton House.
Board Vice President Ken Conklin said work will begin this month on the roof and work on the furnaces and air conditioning will begin in the spring.
Conklin said the repairs and updates will help sustain the house for many years.
The ARP funds were approved by the county commissioners after the Upton Association made a request for assistance for the needed repairs to the aging roof and furnaces.
The house has four furnaces which have been there for 26 years and need replaced, he said.
"We are ready to roll and move forward with these projects," Conklin said.
