SOUTHINGTON -- Fire crews were called out Sunday afternoon to a fire at the Southington United Methodist Church on state Route 305.
Crews received a call at 3 p.m. of a fire in the rear of the church where flames and smoke were seen by callers. A report states there damage was in an office, but the sanctuary was not damaged.
There were no reported injuries as no one was at the church. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire crews from Garrettsville, Windham and Middlefield provided assistance.
