WHAT: Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities organizational meeting Jan. 22

PRESENT: Mary Cunningham, Mauro DiVieste, Jodi Glaser, Kimberly Hynes, Larry Larson and Superintendent Ed Stark

ABSENT: Elizabeth Calderone and Kevin Reilly

The board:

• Named Reilly as president, Glaser as vice president and DiVieste as secretary.

• Named committee chairs: Cunningham to ethics; Calderone to personnel; DiVieste to finance; Glaser to program / policy; and Larson to buildings, grounds / maintenance.

• Is seeking bids to do roof replacement work at the school, 420 Lincoln Way, Niles.

• Closed Fairhaven School on April 8 due to the total solar eclipse based on a recommendation from the Trumbull County Emergency Management Agency.

• Set meetings for 5 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month at the Tomaski Center off North Road, Niles. There will be a board member training instead of a May meeting.

• Announced three students will have their artwork showcased at an open house Feb. 4 at the Jewish Community Center in Youngstown.

• Announced the Fairhaven Foundation will host a carnival March 16 at the Eastwood Event Centre in Niles.

• Approved the retirement resignation of Rosilynn Mitchell as employment specialist effective Feb. 29. She has been with the program since June 1995.

• Accepted the resignation of Phillip Hines as service and support administrator with his last day being Jan. 12. He has been with the program since November 2021.

• Accepted the resignation of Kenneth Greaver as job developer with his last day Jan. 12. He has been with the program since June 2022.

• Accepted the resignation of Stephanie Chizamadia as service and support administration supervisor effective Jan. 19. She has been with the program since April 2022.

• Created a community employment liaison position.
