HUBBARD -- A Hubbard man is facing charges related to attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and importuning after being arrested in a child-predator sting operation, according to a press release from Hubbard City Police.
Law enforcement on Sunday arrested Jonathan B. Bellow, 44, after a "meticulous" sting operation conducted by a group called citizen predator catchers, the release states.
The citizens group pursued Bellow for his alleged involvement in soliciting minors for sexual acts, the news release states.
Both charges are fifth-degree felonies. Bellow was booked into the Trumbull County jail Sunday after his arrest. His bond is set at $10,000 per charge.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Girard Municipal Court.
"The Hubbard Police Department commends the citizens who contributed to this operation and encourages ongoing collaboration to safeguard our community," the release states. "The arrest sends a strong message that such criminal behavior will not be tolerated, and those who exploit minors will be held accountable."
