WHAT: Board of Education meeting Monday
PRESENT: Karen Ancell, Brad Gamlin, Tim Gibson, Gary Morton and Russell Sewell
The board:
• Accepted the retirements of Vincent Hanzes, high school teacher, effective March 1, 2024, and Sharron Harper, school nurse, effective Aug. 19, 2024.
• Approved drone racing league supplemental position and named Joseph Slifka as adviser to the drone racing league.
The district participates in the drone program through the Trumbull County Educational Service Center.
• Hired James Huff as varsity boys bowling head coach, Demetra Noble as varsity girls bowling head coach, Mandy Rowe as varsity girls head basketball coach and Chad Kiser as varsity boys basketball head coach.
