SOUTHINGTON -- One man is dead and another is jailed following a Friday night crash at the intersection of U.S. Route 422 and state Route 305, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash report states that a red 2016 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Tyler Richmond, 23, of Warren, was heading south on Route 422 before 11 p.m. when it was struck by a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup driven west on Route 305 by Joseph Yuran, 55, of Sharpsville, Pa.
The patrol report states that Yuran did not yield at the stop sign on Route 305. He was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and aggravated vehicular homicide and is being held at the Trumbull County jail without bond. Yuran was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Richmond was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol report states.
