WARREN -- The following cases were heard Wednesday by Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Sean J. O'Brien:
• James A. Serbin, 31, of Kuszmaul Avenue NW, Champion, is looking at a potential sentence of six to 36 months on charges of third-degree burglary.
Serbin was one of four individuals charged with the burglary of a residence in a mobile home park in the 100 block of North River Road in Warren Township on Aug 15. Police found miscellaneous items taken from the structure in a neighboring trailer, prosecutors say.
Serbin will be sentenced following a background investigation conducted by probation officers.
• David Holliday, 40, of Niles, was sentenced to three years of probation that will begin after a 90-day stint in the Trumbull County jail.
Holiday also will have to participate in the Northeast Ohio Community Alternative Program.
He pleaded guilty Aug. 30 to a third-degree domestic violence felony. On Feb 28, Holiday struck a 26-year-old woman in the face along with assaulting her with a broomstick and damaging her car.
• Candace White, 39, of Tod Avenue NW, Warren, was sentenced to 11 months in the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville after pleading guilty to fifth-degree felony aggravated drug possession.
Her sentence is set to be served concurrently to a two-year prison term she is serving out of Summit County on a conviction for drug trafficking and possession of drugs.
The charges are related to an incident from May 7, 2022, when Warren police found White overdosed inside a vehicle with 0.10 grams of methamphetamine, prosecutors say.
