BAZETTA -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol was called out Tuesday morning after a Lakeview Local School District bus crashed in Bazetta.
OSHP responded to the area of state Routes 5 and 305 around 8 a.m for a two-vehicle crash involving the bus and a vehicle.
A news release from OSHP states that the school bus was struck by the driver of a 2003 Volvo S80 as the bus was stopped at a traffic light. The driver told troopers that fatigue played a factor in the crash that caused minor injuries to three of the students on the bus.
No injuries were reported by the man or occupants of the Volvo.
Bazetta fire and EMS arrived and evaluated the three injured, one of the children was transported to a nearby children's hospital to receive further evaluation.
Superintendent Velina Jo Taylor was there during the investigation. Law enforcement agencies that investigated the crash included OSHP Warren Post Troopers and OSHP bus inspectors.
