WARREN -- A Farrell, Pa., man was released from Trumbull County jail Wednesday, a day after he was arrested on charges of attacking -- in a courtroom during a murder trial -- the man accused of killing his relative.
Destin Gregory, 32, was charged with two misdemeanor charges of assault and resisting arrest as he appeared via video arraignment inside Warren Municipal Court. He pleaded not guilty and later posted a $2,500 bond.
On Tuesday, Gregory was arrested by sheriff's deputies after attacking 18-year-old Gavin Roberts during a murder trial.
The incident unfolded during the testimony of a Warren officer as the prosecution prepared to play body camera footage depicting the aftermath of a shooting that claimed the life of Brice Hilton.
In those moments, Gregory can be seen on courtroom surveillance video heading toward the court doors to leave before redirecting and hurling a punch toward Roberts, while also clearing a barrier and knocking over a chair, which sent it across the courtroom.
As a result of the incident, Gregory was not allowed to appear back in the courtroom to witness the remainder of the trial for his slain relative, which concluded on Wednesday with a guilty verdict against Roberts.
