MECCA -- A Bristol man was seriously injured Wednesday night when his motorcycle and a pickup truck collided, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Frank Bright, 53, was riding his 2019 Harley-Davidson Street Glide north on state Route 46 about 7:45 p.m. when a southbound Dodge Dakota driven by John Monteneri, 68, of Cortland, turned east on Griffith Drive in front of the motorcycle, according to the patrol report.
The motorcycle hit the truck and overturned, throwing Bright off the bike. The truck left the crash site and was found several hours later at a nearby residence, the report states.
Bright, who had not been wearing a helmet, was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment. His condition was not released. The crash remains under investigation.
