RIGHT TO LIFE: Ohio Right to Life CEO Peter Range will speak on the proposed "Reproduction Freedom" amendment to the Ohio Constitution, which will be on the ballot in November. Range will speak at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at St. Charles Church, 7345 Westview Ave., Boardman, and again at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Global Learning Center at Walsh University in North Canton. LUNCH AND LEARN: Catholic Charities will host a Lunch and Learn event at noon Sept. 14 in the St. Columba Cathedral parish hall, 144 W. Wood St., Youngstown. Guests will receive a free lunch as they learn about the most frequently asked questions about Catholic Charities services and ministries. TRIBUTE TO PASTOR: Hoyt Street Flourishing Ministries Church Of God In Christ, Hoyt Street, Warren, will host a tribute to Pastor Gerald Morgan at 4 p.m. Sept. 10. The event will celebrate and remember the life and legacy of Morgan.
VIRTUAL SERIES: The Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center will offer a new virtual series: "Introduction to Psalms, Our First Prayer Book" with Rabbi Joseph Schonberger, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday via Zoom. The Zoom link will be available on the center's website.
This month's topic is "Archaeological Finds: An Introduction to the Difference Between Hymns and Psalms," including the meaning of selah, which is used 71 times. Registration is not required and a free-will offering will be accepted.
LADIES FALL EVENT: Hubbard Church of the Nazarene will host a ladies' fall event, "Salt and Light," at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 30. Guest speaker is Jennifer Cadamore. TAIZE PRAYER: The Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center will host Taize Prayer at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 in the Magnificat Chapel at 225 Villa Maria Road.
Taize is a form a Christian prayer originating from the ecumenical Christian community of Taize in France. Music ministers are Daniel Laginya and Barb Zorn.
Another event will be Dec. 12 and will have an advent theme.
