WARREN -- City fire crews were called Sunday to a house fire in the 100 block of Logan Avenue NE.
The fire is under investigation by the Ohio State Fire Marshal.
Firefighters were called just after 8 a.m. A department spokesman said the flames started at the back of the house.
The homeowner was inside when the fire began, but was standing safely outside the residence when firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.
A report described heavy smoke and fire from the second story. The fire eventually spread to the attic, which prompted a call for additional units.
The home was deemed a total loss by the fire department.
Fire crews began clearing the area about 10:45 a.m.
According to the Trumbull County Auditor's Office, the three-family home is owned by Patrick Patterson, who purchased it at the beginning of September.
