WHAT: Commissioners meeting Wednesday
PRESENT: Mauro Cantalamessa, Niki Frenchko and Denny Malloy
Commissioners:
• Accepted the resignation of Dustin Rivera from a laborer position in the Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer's Office, effective Aug. 9;
• Approved a $18,082 change order for the Mineral Ridge Hydraulics Improvement Project within the Mineral Ridge Public Water System. The cost of the project is $1.1 million;
• Approved the final change order for the Mosquito Creek Waste Water Treatment Plant Capital Improvements Project at $1.5 million. The cost of the project was $34.7 million;
• Agreed to let the Trumbull County Department of Job and Family Services contract with NESCO Resource LLC at $66,500 to provide employee record and payroll services;
• Agreed to hire StepMobile of Mansfield to accept payments by financial transaction device for the Trumbull County Adult Probation Department. StepMobile will furnish equipment and services for installation and operation;
• Approved recommendations of the Trumbull County Senior Services Advisory Council for the distribution of $1.2 million from September through August 2025. The money will be used to provide funds for various senior centers across Trumbull County;
• Approved a lease amendment with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to renew the lease for 2,250 square feet at the Trumbull Couty Agriculture and Family Education Center, 520 W. Main St., Cortland, for $33,750 per year;
• Voted to support Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership's effort to apply for the Lead Safe Ohio Program allocation for lead mitigation and prevention. The organization will seek $1.8 million. The application must be submitted before Sept. 14;
• Authorized the commissioner's clerk to advertise for sealed bids for the 2023 road program. It will resurface Addison Road in Brookfield, Howland Wilson Road and Squires Lane in Howland and Jones Road in Liberty. No general funds are required.
