WHAT: County commissioners regular meeting Wednesday at the county building in Warren.
PRESENT: Denny Malloy, Niki Frenchko and Mauro Cantalamessa
The board:
• Granted annual fleet permits to RT Vernal Paving and Excavating Inc., Hard Knox Ent. Inc., Shelly & Sands Inc., Porichak's Trucking LLC and Ray Brothers Inc.;
• Approved right-of-way permits to A&A Construction to work for Kings Graves Road to install 15-inch double wall HDP conduit for driveway access to a property just west of Henn Hyde Road in Howland; ASW Pipeline LLC to bore under and work at King Graves Road to repair a gas line link 185 feet east of Duffus Road in Howland; Brightspeed to bore under and work on North Road NE to install new fiber cable at the northern and southern intersections of Whispering Meadows in Howland; and Everstream Solutions LLC to bore under and work at North Leavitt Road to install and maintain 1- to 2-inch PVC conduit at the intersection of Eagle Creek Road in Warren Township;
• Approved the hiring of Darren Mancini as the office administrator with the Trumbull County Building Inspection Department, effective Aug. 14, at the pay rate of $31.57 per hour;
• Approved seeking sealed bids for the construction of a roof at the Trumbull County Planning Commission building, 185 E. Market St., Warren;
• Approved the clerk of the Trumbull County Commissioners office to seek the 2025 Ohio Department of Transportation office authorizing resolution for the 5310 grant application for 2025;
• Authorized the engineering firm Burgess and Niple Inc. of Painesville to provide the technical services for the Blueprint Phase 2 Water Improvements Project 2-W-19 in Braceville and Southington Townships at a cost of no more than $434,540, which is to be paid from American Rescue Plan Act funds;
• Accept a proposal for professional services from Sexton and Associates of Cortland to provide technical specifications for the Trumbull County Stone Building's repair and upgrade at a cost of no more than $500;
• Accept a proposal for professional services from Sexton and Associates of Cortland to provide the technical specifications for the Trumbull County Highway Engineer's garage Project, 650 Warren Meadville Road, Cortland, at a cost of no more than $500;
• Hired Attorney Jeffrey V Goodman for the recovery of money from former employees of the Engineer's office who received CDL training at the county's expense, but left county employment prior to fulfilling their two-year obligation.
