WHAT: Board of education meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Jackie Woodward, Tracie Allen, Niki Reid and Bill Catlin

ABSENT: Cheryl Kistler

The board:

•   Approved a memorandum of understanding with the Lordstown Teachers Association and the local Ohio Association of Public School Employees, which represents classified workers, to have 27 paydays per year beginning with payroll Aug. 31. Previously, 26 paydays took place per year;

•   Approved an agreement with Cadence Care Network for providing behavioral health support for students;

•   Named Kistler as delegate and Reid as alternate to the Ohio School Boards Association annual business meeting in November;

•   Announced all students will receive free breakfast and lunch this school year, with first day for students Sept. 5.
