Law enforcement from Brookfield and Sharon police departments were called out Wednesday evening after a man was sent to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
A 911 spokesman said the department received several calls around 7:30 p.m. of residents hearing gunshots in the 800 block of North Stateline Road. A dispatcher then received a call from a hospital that someone had been brought there with a gunshot wound.
Police went to Sharon Regional Health Center to speak with the victim.
Because North Stateline Road is on the border between Ohio and Pennsylvania, both communities responded to the incident.
The victim's identity and condition were not available.
