WHAT: Township trustees meeting Saturday

PRESENT: Pete Augusta, John Nemet and Doreen Lutz

Trustees:

•   Approved placing a 0.5-mill, five-year renewal of the cemetery levy on the November ballot for needs of the seven cemeteries of the community. The levy will generate approximately $63,000;

•   Discussed improvements to the portion of Carson Salt Springs Road that will be submitted for 2024 for Ohio Public Works Commission funds;

•  Approved Shelley and Sands at $321,330 for the improvements to Grand Boulevard, which will be covered by a 39 percent grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission;

•  Will have the county engineer's office make improvements to 554 feet of Grant Avenue, which is an entrance near the school complex. Cold mix work will be done to improve the road;

•   Will get equipment for $2,000 for sealing cracks on roads;

•   Rescheduled the next meeting to 6:30 p.m. July 31.
