WHAT: Township trustees meeting June 14
PRESENT: Charles Hagman, Dan Tietz and Cindy Speaker
Trustees:
• Approved Bohn Concrete to install a new concrete approach in front of the recycling dumpsters at a cost not to exceed $8,500;
• Approved $1,000 for the Trumbull County Engineer's Office to surface mill a portion of Herner County Line Road;
• Approved the renewal of membership in the Ohio Township Association for township employees at $320;
• Set community wide garage sales Aug. 3 to 5;
• Set a back-to-school event 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 12 at the park;
• Announced the Southington Community Trust will host the second annual Southington fall market 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 22 at Monument Park next to the Chalker Building;
• Announced a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the township hall regarding the need for additional funding for the fire department.
