WHAT: Village council meeting Monday
PRESENT: Robert Bond, Terry Campbell, Lamar Liming, Jamie Moseley, Ron Radtka, Howard Sheeley and Mayor Arno Hill
Council:
• Approved payment of $60,527 to Lordstown schools as part of the income tax- sharing agreement with the village on income taxes generated by employees at Anderson-Dubose Inc.;
• Accepted a bid of $614,938 of All Ways Construction of Chardon for the final tank site work on the state Route 45 corridor improvement;
• Approved purchase of 2023 police interceptor vehicle at $43,360 from Bill McCandless Ford and purchase of a 2023 ambulance at $298,983 from Myers Equipment Corp. of Canfield through state cooperative purchasing;
• Heard from Village Engineer Chris Kogelnik that the temporary traffic signal at the Ultium Cells driveway is ready to go to construction, with the village paying for the temporary signal and the engineering. Main Light of Warren was to do the project at about $21,000;
• Accepted the resignations of police officers Ron Reed and Steve Lyden. They are going to other police departments;
• Will put the roof-replacement project at the administration building and police building out for bids;
• Announced scrap tire collection for village residents will be Monday to June 16 at the road department garage;
• Approved Seth Mansell for summer help in the water department.
