Judge Cynthia Westcott Rice was sworn in to the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court bench on Monday in the courthouse by her husband, Judge Ronald J. Rice, who also serves on the bench. With them holding the Bible are daughters Madison and Morgan Rice. Westcott Rice is the first woman elected to serve on the Trumbull Common Pleas Court. Looking on in the background is retired Judge Peter J. Kontos, whom she replaces.
